So, if you’re looking for work in Germany, read on to find out what it’s like to live and work in Dülmen

A breakdown of living and working in Dülmen, Germany:

Discovering Dülmen

Dülmen is a city in southern Münsterland in Germany. It is surrounded by nature with the river Lippe to the south, the Baumberge hills to the north, the river Ems to the east, and the Huhe Mark Nature Park nearby, making it the perfect place to enjoy nature.

But if it’s culture you’re after, Dülmen doesn’t disappoint there either! A medium-sized town with about 47,000 inhabitants, the busier city of Münster is just down the motorway.

What’s more, the airports of Münster-Osnabrück, Dortmund, and Cologne can also be quickly reached.

Why live and work in Dülmen?

Whether you want to get outside in nature, enjoy the urban hustle and bustle, or just relax in rural seclusion, Dülmen is a great place to live.

Shopping facilities are surrounded by cycling, hiking, and riding paths, and in the heart of Dülmen’s city centre, you’ll find the market square, shops, cafes, and restaurants.

But Dülmen is also a great place to work, too! Home to an army base, at M&E Global, we employ skilled contractors to work on a number of varied and rewarding positions, such as heavy equipment operators, generator mechanics, and labourers.

How we will support you

Here at M&E Global, we pride ourselves on providing a high level of support for all our contract workers. This means that we will help you source your accommodation ahead of your arrival, and we’ll also help with visas and paperwork if necessary.

What’s more, once you begin your contract, you will have a dedicated point of contact for the duration of your contract who will be able to help you with any issues or concerns.

In addition, we also provide on-the-job training to enhance your skill set, extremely competitive rates of pay – and some roles even include a weekly living allowance too!

What to do in your free time

It’s not all about work, though. Our contractors typically work from Monday to Friday, which leaves weekends free for you to implore the surrounding areas.

There are the cycle paths we mentioned above, cultural events such as concerts and comedy shows galore, and numerous exhibitions, whereas in Münsterland, you can canoe on the gentle rivers or enjoy one or more of their numerous golf courses.

What’s more, in the winter, there’s a traditional Christmas fair and even an ice-skating rink. Dülmen is also known as the “town of the wild horses,” and is home to Europe’s last wild horse herd, which is quite a sight to behold!
